Looking for love? Have you ever felt that your life is just spinning out of control? Sure, in some cases people and families may look all "together" on the outside, but behind the facade are lives being lived in turmoil. Does it seem like, despite your best efforts, you're simply treading water, waiting for the next trial that looms in your future. You find yourself falling behind on the bills, the household upkeep, your physical health - just life in general - no matter how hard you work at it. As your kids grow up they seem to be more and more distant and you feel like you're losing them. Your spouse is as stressed as you are, and when you do have even the smallest amount of time with the family it feels so empty, or worse, a whirlwind of contentiousness. Then, to make matters worse, you begin to feel all alone in your struggles. You, and possibly every member of your household, begin to feel isolated in a world of hurt and disappointment. Deep, deep down inside you love your family and you want your family to love each other but you feel something just isn't right. You ask, "Where is the love I'm looking for? Where can I find real peace?" The answer is right where it's always been. The only real love that can sustain you and those you love is the love of God. The only real peace that will cover a life and a family living in the midst of this topsy-turvy world is the peace of Christ. He sees our burdens and our trials and He understands. He not only understands, He longs to heal, to bind up the brokenhearted and mend the torn and tattered. Recall the words of Jesus, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) The Bible also tells us where we find real peace: "He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed." (Isaiah 53). That statement is most relevant to the brokenness we have because we're all sinners in need of a Savior. When we humbly recognize this truth, the Lord can work miracles in our lives. We here at Crosspointe call upon the Lord to move you to come and join a Christian family that seeks that healing power. We're looking to gather ordinary families from our community together in this place in order to create an extraordinary experience of comforting, nurturing and strengthening under and within His powerful grace. We want to be your church family. We're praying that you and other families will join us in becoming a refuge and wellspring for others who are living lives feeling broken and alone so that we might offer the real love and peace of Christ to our community. Might you be a family God is leading to us? We pray that you are! If you're reading this you may just be one of the families God is reaching out to through Crosspointe's ministries. If this is so, we pray you'll respond to His call and allow us to love you in Him!
