Grow Groups" Small Group
Ministry
The people of
Crosspointe strongly believe God calls each of us into a living personal
relationship with Himself. We also believe that in order for one’s
personal relationship with Jesus to grow and blossom, other personal
relationships among fellow Christians should be planted and blooming as
well.
One of the most fruitful ways for these relationships to be planted and
nourished is through our "Grow Groups" Small Group Ministries. These
groups are designed to encourage people of similar interests and current
life experiences to gather together on a monthly basis for fellowship,
encouraging and Spiritual nurturing. They have also become another way for
Crosspointe members to be involved in servanthood ministry both within the
Crosspointe family, and through various servant events designed to impact
our community - becoming a visible form of reaching out with the real of
Christ.
Each group consists approximately 10 adults, with 1 or 2 individuals who
have received a "call" to organize and facilitate their group’s activities
and structure. Every member of our Christian family has been encouraged to
become involved in one of the "Grow Groups." As our church grows in
numbers of new members, we encourage these new members to join one of the
existing groups or join in beginning a new group with a core of members
from one of the groups that has grown to more than 10 members.
The intimacy and personal nature of these groups allows for members to
establish "ties" within our growing congregation, in order that they would
have a circle of Christian friends they can rely upon for Spiritual
strengthening, encouragement and committed friendship. Our ultimate goal
is that no one within our congregation would ever feel "left out" or
alone. Rather, that God’s people in this place would display deep value
for every brother and sister in Christ, and desire to build those
relationships with each other in order to strengthen each other’s personal
relationship with the Lord.
