Meaningful and Relevant Worship
Worship at Crosspointe is one of our most important and unique ministries. Like many of today’s exciting churches, Crosspointe seeks to offer a worship setting that goes far beyond a "religious" experience. Because we believe the Christian faith is all about relationships (particularly the relationship one has with God), we endeavor to offer a worship environment that is exciting, joy-filled, meaningful and relevant for the worshiper.

We believe that people are looking for a service that is welcoming to all and is designed to make room for the person who was "turned off" by what they perceived as the "old, stodgy church," filled with dead rituals. We believe that there are a significant number of people who are looking for something new and fresh that speaks to their hearts in a language they can relate to. Thus, our worship celebrates diversity and variety.

The Sunday messages are equally timely, relevant, while again being focused upon explaining in understandable and meaningful ways the Bible’s truths as they apply to people today. On any given Sunday morning a motion picture, "roving reporter on the street" video or a moving drama may be used to further illustrate the message.

 

For the Kids
During a portion of the service, children ages 3 to 7 years old can attend Praise Pond Toddler's & Children's Church Ministry. Praise Pond is a children’s service filled with music, videos, skits, puppet shows and a craft activity.

 

Passionate Worship
Because Crosspointe believes that God created people with diverse tastes - particularly in terms of musical styles and the like - we seek to offer a worship environment that speaks to such diversity. After all, how many folks only tune their radios to stations that feature 14th century classical music? And how many homes are without a television or computer and aren't used to high quality media and graphic arts? With that in mind, our worship celebration incorporates creative means to bring God's message to bear upon the listener and thereby bring them into God's presence in a meaningful, real way! Thus we incorporate a variety of worship formats which drive the creative process further and further along, making each Sunday another exciting experience in the house of God! Our goal is to offer a connection with the Christian Church of the past and the Christian Church of the immediate present.

Set in a more informal "theatre-like" setting, Crosspointe's unique worship styles move worshippers from expressing themselves with shouts of joy, to moments of deep thought as we sing praise choruses and hymns that share the truths of the Christian faith. The environment welcomes hands raised or clapping to the powerful beat of the drums or the rockin' rhythm and lead of the electric guitar. Also included in each worship experience are plenty of opportunities for intimate moments with Jesus through quiet, meaningful melodies of simple piano or acoustic guitar-led praise.

The greater portion of our service format is dedicated towards featuring today’s most modern Christian contemporary praise & worship music, from "high-energy," rockin' Christian praise music such as Chris Tomlin, Third Day and Lincoln Brewster, to meditative praise choruses from Hillsongs-Australia and Matt Redman. Our music is shared by two gifted Praise & Worship house bands. Each service also offers an opportunity for the worshiper to step back in time as we celebrate the Christian here of the past through the moving words and music of a traditional hymn.

Our powerful state-of-the-art Rodgers Company model 927 Digital organ offers the majestic sound of the pipe organ and enhances our ability to offer diverse worship incorporating the great hymns of the Christian faith with a powerful, "cathedral-like" sound!
